I am a Jungian analyst and a medical anthropologist who has had a private practice in Den Haag for 20 years. Next to my clinical work, I have a research interest in intergenerational responses to collective violence, for which I have done short-term assignments in Afghanistan and Rwanda; and I occasionally publish around the themes of trauma and healing.

Prior to my psychoanalytic training, I worked as a consultant to the Government of Indonesia, and lived in Jakarta for five years. Before that, I worked in international corporate communications, based New York. I grew up and was educated in the Netherlands and in the United States.

I am a member of International Association of Analytical Psychologists (IAAP), and its affiliates in the Netherlands (NAAP) and Switzerland (IGAP); the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society (NPSA); and the AAA Society for Psychological Anthropology.
